Genabel “Jean” Hueftle

In His hand is the life and breath of every creature and the breath of all mankind. Job 12:10 With full confidence that the only way to Heaven is to believe in the sacrificial death, burial, and resurrection of God's one and only Son, Jesus, as her Savior from her sin; Jean took her last breath on earth and her first in Heaven on Saturday January 25th, 2020, at the age of 90.

Genabel "Jean" Ruth Hueftle, was born November 27th, 1929 to Elmer and Martha (Cave) Ehrenberg in Creighton, NE. Jean attended and graduated from Creighton High School in 1947 and received a 3-year teaching certificate. After graduation, she taught 1st-8th grade for 2 years at Fairview School.

Her plan to attend Bible school in Omaha was interrupted when she met her future husband, Warren Hueftle. Warren and Jean were married on November 20th, 1949. They were married for 64 years. After getting married she moved to Eustis and gave birth to their four children, LaVon, Joyce, Darlene and Vernon. Jean started a career at age 56 at Evans Bakery in Cozad. She worked there for 20 years and retired at the age of

76.

She accepted Jesus as her Savior June 16th, 1939 at Vacation Bible School. Her decision to accept Jesus into her life impacted how she lived. She demonstrated this through her role as a wife, mother, faithful servant and prayer warrior. Jean was a Sunday school teacher for 60 years, served in other children's ministries and Maranatha Bible Camp. Over the years, she attended Christian Women's Club and several other Bible studies. Most importantly, Jean believed in the power of prayer and her greatest desire was to pass on a godly legacy. She accomplished this by praying faithfully for her family and friends. Jean was known for her sweet spirit, gentle and kind ways.

Those left to carry on her legacy are: LaVon (Solomon) Adams of DeKalb, IL; Joyce (Mark) Howsden of Lincoln; Darlene (Roger) Howsden of Lincoln, Vernon (Janet) Hueftle of Eustis. Brother: Keith (Bev) Ehrenberg; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
