Herman Theodore Fredericksen, 91, completed his earthly life’s journey on November 19th, 2019. He is now at home with his Heavenly Father and Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Born July 7th, 1928 in Omaha, NE to Danish parents Carl and Lucille Fredericksen, Herman was their first born child. His brother Gene Fredericksen and sister Irene Nielsen long preceded him in death along with step sister Linda Johnson.

Herman, with his late wife Phyllis Small Fredericksen (passed July 19th, 2015) made their lives together in Cozad, NE and raised three daughters who survive them today: Sandra Yonkey (Darrell - Lincoln, NE), Sharon Howerter (Greg - Chadron, NE), and Carla Johnston (Chuck - Fredericksburg, VA). And they were further blessed with two grandchildren Joette Fuller (Eric - Chadron, NE) and Jeffrey Howerter (Jennifer - Cozad, NE). And six great-granddaughters increased and blessed the family fold: twins Micaiah and Makinley Howerter, Sydney Howerter, Jentsyn Fuller and twins Addison and Emma Howerter. Herman is also survived by nieces and nephews who live in Nebraska, Texas, Nevada, Washington, and California.

He worked in big agriculture at the alfalfa mills for about forty years in Cozad. Herman was a provider of food for the table from his love of gardening and fishing. Especially after retiring at age 62. It will be interesting how Herman, the provider will be used eternally.

Visitation was held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, Nebraska; Friday, November 22nd, 2019, 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm with the family present from 4:00-6:00 pm. Funeral Services were held at Cozad Christian Church, November 23rd, 2019 at 10:00 am with Pastor Mike Moore officiating.

Interment followed in the Cozad Cemetery, Cozad, Nebraska.

Memorials may be given to the Donor's Choice.
