Using a potent passing attack while playing with gumption, the Aurora Huskies weathered the early storm of ‘ground and pound’ by Gothenburg in the Nebraska Class C-1 State Football Playoffs quarterfinals on Friday night. The Cozad Nine finished the season with an overall record of 18-17 with key wins coming against Holdrege, Gothenburg, McCook, Southern, CCV and Southern Valley/Alma.

Cozad High School Powder Puff Football Will Be November 11th

Taking to the turf in hopes of garnering the highly sought after trophy and bragging rights will be the girls of Cozad High School that compete in the Annual Powder Puff Football Game that will be held at Haymaker Stadium on Sunday, November 11th from 2-4 p.m.
The class divisions will determine the teams for the joyous and hard-fought contest on the turf.
Admission price for the event is free-will donation with the proceeds being directed to the United Way to purchase gas cards to be given to Cancer patients.
